I actually won this product in an Instagram competition. I was pretty happy when I saw that it was included in the prize because you shouldn’t be able to go too wrong with a lip balm. And although this has ended up being a bit of a disappointment, it’s still a product that I’ll keep using until I’ve finished it.Read More
This was one of the items for sale in a Sephora special last year so I was able to pick it up for 50% off. I’d never seen this palette before but I own the Zoeva Blanc Fusion Palette and love that so I expected that I would love this one too.Read More
Halo has been my first time using a dietary supplement to attempt to better my skin. I do take fish oil and maca tablets as those are meant to aid in hormonal breakouts, which is what I suffer from, but I’d never delved any deeper into the area than that.
So when Tati Westbrook announced on her YouTube channel that she was producing a skin boosting multivitamin my interest was piqued.Read More
I love the Met Gala. It’s by far my favourite red carpet event of the year. The fashion, the freedom and the drama coming together into one gala makes it the only celebrity event that I’ll really stay up to date with.
This year the theme for the gala was ‘Camp: Notes on fashion’. The theme is inspired by Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay ‘Notes on ‘Camp’, which is widely credited to have introduced the notion of ‘Camp’ to the mainstream.Read More
It’s a good thing I received this as a promo gift because if I’d paid AUD$35.00 for this I’d be writing a complaint email asking for my money back. This is by far the worst makeup product I’ve ever used, I don’t even know if I can call it a primer because it doesn’t prime your skin at all however that is what it’s labelled as.Read More
I just wanted to put up a quick post showing a makeup look I wore recently. This isn’t a review on anything nor is it a particularly challenging or technically advanced makeup look, however I was feeling really happy at the end of the day because a little girl at my work told me she liked “the stuff on my eyes and the stuff on my ears“. It was so sweet and it made me smile. Afterwards she showed me her matching gold foil temporary tattoos and we talked about how cool shiny things were.Read More
This was one of the last items I bought in 2018. Coloupop had a sale on, as they often do, and I picked up this lipstick and one of their Jelly Much shadows.
I bought this lipstick because I am forever chasing a nude colour for me. Unfortunately as I do most of my shopping online, the colours are always difficult to tell and they’ll often turn out different than described.Read More
I can’t remember why I bought this. I had been wanting to try a Bite Beauty lip product for a while now, but I was looking more towards their French Press lip glosses than a balm.
I think it vaguely had something to do with a Sephora special, I must have needed to spend a certain amount for something, free shipping maybe. So I ended up with this Agave lip mask, a better than your average lip balm. And so it should be for AUD$40.00 I expected to have the healthiest, smoothest lips I’d ever experienced.Read More
I’d always had my eye on this palette. Nowadays it seems every new release from mainstream brands (Huda, Urban Decay, Too Faced etc.) are just really boring to me. I’m not a neutral girl so one basic taupe palette will do me.
I look for interesting new shades and formulas when I shop for eyeshadow so when I saw this palette released from ABH I was immediately interested. That pop of green and the lavender metallic, it looked like exactly my type of eyeshadow palette.Read More
Ana Luisa brand themselves as Jewelry for womankind.

I was watching Youtube this morning and a few of the channels I’m subscribed to did this Unpopular Opinions Makeup Tag. The videos were really fun and interesting to watch and I thought that a tag like this might be a nice change from the reviews I normally do. I laughed when I watched Tati’s video and she said that she was tagging herself to do this because no one had actually tagged her, so I decided that I would do the same. So I’m tagging myself into this because I want to do fun things too!Read More
Sorry I’ve been MIA lately! Today I returned from a week long work trip/holiday to Sydney and I’ll be back to posting more regularly now.
Continuing with my Sydney trip, I thought it would be an interesting change from my normal reviews to show you what I packed in my travel makeup bag and compare that to what I ended up using.Read More
April was a bit of a slow month in terms of empties. I feel like I’ve got so many products that I’m so close to finishing but for some reason the last 5% is lasting equally as long as the other 95% had. So hopefully next month I’ll have more to talk about but for now, I’ve got a couple of makeup products and one skincare product to review.Read More
For the last month I’ve been trying to move past my safe makeup options and to try some products that have been rolling around in my drawers for ages that I’d never properly used. So this month’s favourites are a mixture of some old loves and some brand new ones which is always exciting. I have a mix of makeup and skincare and even one body care product that I wanted to include as well. I’ll start with the skincare and body care then move onto the makeup.Read More
Obviously I’m not a medical professional, this blog post isn’t the cure-all to every person’s oily skin. These are the steps that changed my skin for the better and for someone else experiencing the same problems, they may provide some helpful starting points for you as well.Read More
Yes, I am currently doing a no-buy year. I was put onto the idea after watching Hannah Louise Poston on YouTube and hearing about her experience and how it changed her for the better.
But I’m getting ahead of myself so to backtrack a little bit. For those who don’t know what a no-buy means, a no-buy is a period of time where you don’t buy anything at all.Read More
I knew I was always going to buy the ABH Dipbrow Pomade however I struggled for a while to decide on a shade. However, to my absolute delight my worries were unnecessary. The pigmentation of this pomade can be thinned down and built up to be drastically different. I did buy Granite in the end and the shade was not an issue, if I use a light hand than the colour matches me perfectly and if I use a heavier hand I can have bolder more editorial brows.Read More
