August was a month of rediscovering my old makeup loves. Most of these products I have owned for many years or been using for many years and during the last month my use of them has reminded me of how much I treasure these makeup and skincare items.Read More
I wasn't expecting to go through too many products this month however I've surprised myself with a decent list of empties here. A few of these I'd been waiting on for months to finish and I'm glad that I successfully go through them and my makeup and skincare is now a little less cluttered for it. I'll start with my thoughts on the skincare empties and then move on to the makeup.Read More
One of many reasons why I love Fyrinnae so much is that they offer sample sizes for so many of their products. With the amount of makeup that I already own, I never finish full sized products unless I dedicatedly use them every day. This sample highlighter is a tiny little thing but it allows me to try a new highlighting formula without having a huge amount of product to go through.Read More
I've decided to actually commit to doing a project pan for the remainder of this year and possibly into the next one. I had already made a couple of Instagram posts talking about the Revlon Sculpt and Highlight Contour Kit which I have been trying to finish for a while now however nothing like gathering a group of products and deciding to dedicatedly use them until they are empty.Read More
I've decided to start a series called An Old Love in which I highlight a makeup/skincare product that might not be new or even still available however I've been loving it lately and want to dedicate a blog post to it's performance and quality.
To start this series off today I wanted to talk about the Colourpop My Little Pony Eyeshadow Palette.Read More
July was a colourful month for me, I got back into bright eyeshadow which made for a lot of fun new looks.
However it was back to the basics for my base products as I was often in need of a full face that would wear well for more than ten hours. So a little bit of fun and a little bit of seriousness for July.Read More
July for an Australian means winter time which means my skincare routine needed a change up and thus nearly all of my empties for the month have been skincare.
I was so close to finishing some other products but they didn't quite make the cut off so they'll be featured in my August empties instead! As for the last month I'll start with one of the two cleaners I finished.Read More
In the years since the liquid lipstick really came into fashion, I have since decided that they're not for me. I'm a gloss girl now and always.
So knowing that I hate liquid lipsticks and their dry, matte formulas it's pretty impressive for bareMinerals that I like this liquid lipstick.Read More
June was a simpler month for me in both beauty and skincare. I'm trying to simplify my skincare routine as it's gotten a little out of control and I've been leaning towards more basic makeup looks for day to day wear.
Maybe because of the winter months here I'm spending more time in the mornings hiding in my bed than waking up early to dedicate an hour to my makeup.Read More
After the huge clear-out of my May empties last month, June has been a bit more relaxed for products that I finished. However even though I only went through five products there were a couple that I had been waiting to finish for months now and it's such a great feeling to be finally freeing up some space in my collectionRead More
I call the Subculture palette infamous because the drama that unfolded after it launched was so big that it caused me to actually pay attention to it.Read More
I love colourful eyeshadow.
I love makeup when it closer resembles art than any sort of traditional beauty. However that's not always a practical style to wear when going about my day to day business.
So over the past year I've been slowly working my way into colours and thought that I would show you guys a few of my favourite ways to rock some colourful eyeshadow.Read More
Another month come and gone and finally I was able to finish the last of many products that I'd been waiting to run through. This months empties features a lot of skincare and a couple of makeup products. I'll briefly run through each product to give a very short review and tell you if I would repurchase the product or not.Read More
All of these favourites I'm going to talk about are makeup products. Normally I'd have some skincare in here as well however while I did try a lot of new skincare last month, nothing wowed me enough to include it in this post.Read More
As you might already know I love my Fyrinnae loose eyeshadows. However the other products I’ve bought from Fyrinnae have been rather hit and miss instead and this finishing powder appears to be the same.Read More
Morphe is a huge brand on social media and YouTube and from what I can tell they do most of their advertising through those platforms and using influencers who offer discount codes on Morphe products. So because I spend a bit of time on social media I was no stranger to Morphe when they finally launched their Australian and New Zealand website.Read More
I actually won this product in an Instagram competition. I was pretty happy when I saw that it was included in the prize because you shouldn’t be able to go too wrong with a lip balm. And although this has ended up being a bit of a disappointment, it’s still a product that I’ll keep using until I’ve finished it.Read More
This was one of the items for sale in a Sephora special last year so I was able to pick it up for 50% off. I’d never seen this palette before but I own the Zoeva Blanc Fusion Palette and love that so I expected that I would love this one too.Read More
Halo has been my first time using a dietary supplement to attempt to better my skin. I do take fish oil and maca tablets as those are meant to aid in hormonal breakouts, which is what I suffer from, but I’d never delved any deeper into the area than that.
So when Tati Westbrook announced on her YouTube channel that she was producing a skin boosting multivitamin my interest was piqued.Read More
It’s a good thing I received this as a promo gift because if I’d paid AUD$35.00 for this I’d be writing a complaint email asking for my money back. This is by far the worst makeup product I’ve ever used, I don’t even know if I can call it a primer because it doesn’t prime your skin at all however that is what it’s labelled as.Read More
